Local Board Bulletins
Local Boards play a pivotal role in Auckland’s governance, making decisions on local matters, providing leadership and supporting strong communities.
WaterSafe Auckland works closely with members of all the region’s Local Boards and on a quarterly basis we prepare a Bulletin updating them on water safety education activities in their area.
The Bulletin lists a myriad of activities we have delivered, from professional development and learning for teachers or early childhood educators, to community event promotions, to practical water safety workshops for workplaces.
One such example is the FREE lifejacket loan scheme hub established in Franklin, in collaboration with Fulton Swim School (pictured above).
Copies of the Local Board Bulletins can be downloaded from the Resources section on this page.
There are 21 Local Boards in the Auckland region sitting within 13 Wards, more information about them is available on the Auckland Council
