Fishing with Papa, is a water safety education teaching resource for early childhood.Fishing-with-Papa-WAI-2016-1

It features important water safety advice for both children and their caregivers, including:

  • Active adult supervision (See Me Reach Me Hear Me); and
  • Wearing a correctly fitting lifejacket when fishing off the rocks or wharf, and when in small boats.

You can download your copy of Fishing with Papa from Related Files (right).

The format is such that the pages can be printed and used as sequence pictures or they could be enlarged and the children write their own story.

Fishing with Papa has been produced in support of Seaweek 2016 ‘Toiora te Moana – Toiora te Tangata, Healthy Seas – Healthy People’.
