Australian Award for Moran

WaterSafe Auckland congratulates Dr Kevin Moran on his recent award at the Australian Water Safety Conference in New South Wales.

Dr Moran was awarded the The Best Poster Presentation Award by the Australian Water Safety Council for his preview of the findings of the International Task Force on Open Water Drowning.

The Task Force [18 drowning prevention experts from 12 countries] have established some guidelines [16 consensus-based messages] for families and individuals recreating at any open water site.  

Dr Moran, Chair of WaterSafe Auckland and Co-Chair of the Taskforce, is pictured (left) receiving his award.
