WaterSafe Auckland has re-established the New Settler Water Safety Reference Group.

The Group brings together aquatic partners, community organisations and individuals working with refugees and new migrants, providing a platform for the sharing of expertise, ideas and resources to assist their communities in becoming safer in, on and around water.

This will help to avoid duplication and encourage the development of strategies to ensure the distribution of appropriate information and resources to all sectors of these communities.

The first meeting will be held on Friday 6 August 2010, 10am to 12pm, at WaterSafe Auckland, 3 Arawa St, Grafton.
