Aquatics Education Professional Development
The learning intentions and outcomes for professional development are as follows:
Attendees will have an:
- Increased understanding of what aquatics education is in schools
- Awareness of resources, what teaching and learning could look like and some agencies to support aquatic education
- Increased understanding of why aquatics education is important
- Increased understanding of what an aquatically educated student in their school could look like
- Ability to identify the learning needs of your students in aquatics education
Individual schools can book sessions of varying length from one-hour staff meetings to all-day, e.g. on teacher-only days. These sessions will be tailor-made to meet the needs of the school and can include both practical and dry aspects of teaching quality aquatics education. These sessions are at no charge to the school unless a community pool is booked.
