Education

WaterSafe Auckland is committed to best practice in the teaching of aquatic education, from early childhood to tertiary.

Professional Development and Learning (PDL) and resources are available for whole school community or individual teachers to develop sustainable aquatic programmes tailored to meet the needs of their students.

All the education staff are experienced, fully registered teachers who understand the reality of teaching aquatics. Support can include PDL for school staff meetings, poolside support around water safety and learn to swim, the linking of practical programmes to classroom-based learning across the curriculum with a focus on numeracy, literacy and science.

"We experienced high quality learning for both students and teachers, that we would not otherwise have had," Principal, Pt England School.
